Meet Our Staff
Senior Pastor Kenneth and Amy Fent
Ken was born and raised in Oklahoma (except for a four year detour in Arkansas) in the home of an Assemblies of God Pastor. He accepted Christ at a young age, but did not receive a call to pastoral ministry himself until a young adult. He graduated from Central Bible College in 1988. He finished his graduate program at Oral Roberts University in 1998. Ken has pastored or taught at the Bible College level for more than twenty years. He became the Senior Pastor of Praise Assembly in July of 2007.
Ken has been married to wife Amy for twenty seven years. They are the proud parents of two children (Angel & Caleb) and two grandchildren (Maggie & Silas).
Student Ministries - Pastor Alan and Elizabeth Beauchamp
Born and raised in Kenosha, Wisconsin, Alan accepted Christ as the Lord of his life at the age of 18. After attending Master’s Commission at Praise Assembly, he went on to study Biblical Languages at Central Bible College, graduating in 2006. Alan was hired as the Student Ministries Pastor at Praise Assembly in June of 2007.
In July of 2005, he was married to Elizabeth Farrand, whom he met while attending Master’s Commission. Most of the time he’ll answer to “Alan,” “Dude,” “Man,” or “Hey You,” in fact anything but “Al.” No kids yet, but they do have a couple of dogs.
The Kid Connection Ministry team is made up of young people and adults from many different backgrounds. Some of us have made ministry our profession and some of us volunteer our time outside our professional interests. One thing we all have in common, though, is a desire to share God with children in the unique way so they can understand Him. So, if you see one of us around (we’re the folks in the bright Kid Connection t-shirts) stop and say hi – we promise, we won’t bite.
Operations Manager - Joe Sardo
Building and Grounds Coordinator, Joe Sardo, has worked at Praise Assembly since 1994. Originally from the St. Louis area, Joe was born in the Bronx, NY, to a close-knit Italian family. He has been married to his wife, Laura, for 27 years and they have two children, Joey and Rachel. Joe loves to create and build things and is an avid outdoorsman. He has a “can do” attitude and enjoying working with people.
Redemption Ministries - Mike and Lisa Rogers

Mike was born in Hancock Michigan in 1960 (a yooper, eh), Mike grew up in the Detroit area where he pursued his dream to become a rock-and-roll star. After a groupie introduced him to cocaine, he became consumed with the drug until the insanity of addiction almost killed him. 11 years later, at 32, Mike bowed his knees to the Lord Jesus in surrender!
After marrying Lisa in 1999 they moved with their daughter Lindsey to New York and attended Elim Bible Institute. From there they came to Springfield for Michael to complete Seminary at AGTS. Mike & Lisa have worked at Praise since July, 2007. Michael NO LONGER answers to “Hairball,” Hair,” “Q-Tip,” “The Ball,” or “Big Bird.”
Lisa was born in Flint Michigan in 1970, Lisa grew up in Davison until she became pregnant with her only daughter Lindsey at the age of 18. At the age of 24 she became a Christian after living a life of hell in abuse and wild lifestyle. Lisa says, “All I knew when I became a Christian is that Jesus said if I trust Him then He will take care of me. I didn’t know that He was going to change me into a whole different person and heal me from my past and give me a future (and Godly husband) that I only thought existed in a fantasy world.” The verse I stand on is Jeremiah 29:11—“I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.”
The rest is HIStory!
